15 Nov Family Reunions
We LOVE when our previous guest families and their little ones come to visit! We get to give hugs, catch up, and see how much the babies have grown. We had two families pop into the House over the last few weeks.
Recently, Mom Leandra brought little Louise to see us. Louise, who is now almost a year old, had so much fun playing and crawling around the playroom. Mom stayed with us for 58 days while Louise was in the NICU, with lots of visits from her Grandma, Jenny, and her husband, Jason.
Then, the Schilber family stopped by to say hello! They were one of our long-term Ronald McDonald House guest families who stayed with us for 69 days when Baby Kyler was born in November 2021. Now two years old, you can see from those slightly blurry photos little Kyler is definitely a bundle of energy! Getting them to stop playing long enough to take a few photos was hard! And we loved to see it!
Our Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada House Program acts as a home-away-from-home for families so they can stay close to their hospitalized babies and children at little to no cost. We believe that the love and support of a child’s family, like Kylers and Louise’s, is powerful during their hospitalization. So, every day, we work to remove the barriers that keep families from being close.
