Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada supports families who have a child receiving treatment at an area hospital. Since 1987, we’ve created and supported programs that directly improve their health and well-being.
Every day, we work to create an environment of comfort and hope that allows families respite during their child’s health challenges. While we may not be able to make medicine taste better or erase the pain of a critical health treatments, we can help ease financial and emotional burdens and give children in the hospital what they truly want: their family.
We rely on the generosity of thousands of donors, the ingenuity of local volunteers, and the dedication of staff to operate our three programs:

HISTORY
Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada opened in 1987. The House welcomes families living more than 30 miles away from Reno who have a child receiving treatment at a local hospital or clinic. Through our additional community outreach programs, we address the health and education needs of children in our community. In addition to the Ronald McDonald House, we also support the community through Travel for Treatment and the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Renown Children’s Hospital. Since opening our doors in 1987, the House has hosted more than 8,500 families ranging from northern Nevada and California areas to international destinations.
Each year we serve more than 250 families at the House. Through all our programs, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada serves more than 880 families in northern Nevada, northern California, and across the globe.
