Blanchard, Krasner, & French: Red Pearl Sponsors of our 30th Anniversary Celebration Year

Blanchard, Krasner & French have been proud sponsors of Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada since June 2016. As a law firm that had expanded from their San Diego home to the Reno area, they were eager to get involved in the Reno community. After learning of our House and the services that we provide to families, Blanchard, Krasner, & French were determined to help.

“We learned of The Reno Ronald McDonald House and the wonderful services they provide for families of seriously ill children through social media [and] knew it was a good fit for our firm,” said Stephanie Small, the Reno Director of Operations.

Small notes there are several memorable moments for the firm since beginning their involvement with the Reno House, including the video they created for the House’s 30th Anniversary and attending the 5th Annual Red Shoe Gala. “But the most memorable was taking a tour of the House…  The tour offered a first-hand glimpse of how the House accommodates families and gives them a sense of a ‘home away from home.’ That experience was instrumental in our decision to join as a Red Pearl Sponsor this year.”

Though a personal experience is not always necessary to see what the House provides, Small mentioned that several of Blanchard, Krasner, & French’s members had experienced the difference that kindness and support can make when a loved one is in the hospital.

“We believe in stressful times the feeling of family connection, normalcy and comfort that the House provides is key in making children feel a bit less anxious, safe, and that they are not alone,” Small explained.

Supporting the House this past year has allowed the firm to do so much more than just donate funds. It has allowed them to play an integral part in our work of keeping families close and providing them with what they need in times of crisis.

In fact, one of the firm’s founding partners, Mark Krasner, joined the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada board in May.

Small encourages other organizations to consider supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada, saying, “Giving to [the House] strengthens families during difficult time. The support, comfort, and peace of mind they offer families to focus on the child’s health: these things must not be taken for granted.”
