11 Jul Red Shoe Gala: Oz Couture
Sometimes we take the little moments with our children for granted…
… making breakfast on a rushed morning.
… coming home from a long work trip.
… reading the same story book every night.
But when your child is in the hospital you’d give anything to have those little moments back.
The Red Shoe Gala: Oz Couture is your chance to give parents with a hospitalized child the gift of precious moments at the Reno Ronald McDonald House. Whether you dress like the Tin Man, Glinda the Good Witch or the Cowardly Lion, your attendance ensures famlies have a place to stay while their child is receiving critical treatment at an area hospital.
Hosted by special guest Melissa Carlson, anchor for KRNV News 4, the night begins with a 6 p.m. cocktail hour. After appetizers and aperitifs, stroll into the dinner and program at 7 p.m. Come dressed in your finest red shoes and (NEW THIS YEAR) Oz-inspired evening wear.
What’s Oz Couture? We’re not getting rid of our red shoe motif, just adding to it! Throw on a faux fur stole to brave a Cowardly Lion look. Slip into a green sequin gown to shine as the Emerald City. Button up in a posh, silver suit to display your heart on your sleeve like the Tin Man. The table with the best Oz Couture look will win big!
Wander the Yellow Brick Road of silent auction packages and try your luck winning big with our new Mystery Box game.
Just like Dorothy, families staying at the Reno Ronald McDonald House need friends when the road twists and turns. They’re displaced, far from their networks and only want to see their child get the best treatment possible. The Red Shoe Gala: Oz Couture is our chance to give just that priceless gift to these families.
