13 Jun Rip City Riders’ Charity Event Benefits RMHC
For the last several years, the Rip City Riders motorcycle club has made RMHC® Northern Nevada the beneficiary of its annual Charity Poker Run. This club is registered as an official 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and spends most of the year fundraising for local charities. The group also helps the Ronald McDonald House throughout the year with various projects. This year’s ride took off from Grand Sierra Resort and ended at the Lucky Beaver Restaurant and Bar. The big after party included a barbecue lunch, motorcycle skills challenges, live music and a raffle for a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The proceeds from the bike raffle benefited RMHC Northern Nevada, which ended up totaling $15,000!!! But wait…there’s more! The winner of the bike raffle, which ended up being the owner of the Lucky Beaver, decided to sell the bike and donate the proceeds to RMHC! As an added bonus, the Lucky Beaver will also be donating a portion of their food sales from the day to RMHC. We are in awe of the incredible generosity of Rip City Riders and the Lucky Beaver, and cannot thank them enough for putting on such a great event during Street Vibrations!
